Sally Mann Reflection

The documentary on Sally Manns life and work is one that takes you on a journey through her different subjects over her time in photography and how it all relates to her family in the end.

I really liked her relationship she had with her husband and I could feel their companionship was very strong so it was hard to see his struggle with his muscle problems. It was also interesting to see her children as adults and reflecting on how their mothers photos of them have affected them to the people they are today.  I will say she has a way of capturing haunting photos that make you get  sucked into the work she shot.

I thought it was cool how she had these old cameras that she carried around her farm, they were old so they didn't capture the same way newer ones would so she would get inperfections which she kept and added some cool depth to the photo.
